Selena Gomez Opens Up About Working With Cara Delevingne

Selena Gomez did a series of interviews to promote her work in Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, and the actress touched on her TikTok, reaction to her first Grammy nomination (her Spanish-language EP, Revelación is up for Best Latin Pop Album), holiday plans, and how it has been working with her longtime friend (and fellow Taylor Swift squad member) Cara Delevingne on Only Murders in the Building. Delevingne has been cast as Alice, 'a sophisticated art world insider who becomes enmeshed in the mystery', per Variety.

To Extra, Gomez spoke about working with Delevingne on the hit Hulu show, which is now shooting its second season. 'We just did our first day together yesterday… It’s so fun,' Gomez said. 'We were just dying and laughing most of the time because we just know each other so well.'

She also had good things to say about her time on TikTok during the same interview. 'It’s really fun,' she started. 'I think that I have had such a love-hate relationship with social media… to really going on an app that… [has] the coolest things that you can see, from making food to dancing… What I find personally fun is cussing… I get to be silly and I love doing that. I love making people laugh.'

To Entertainment Tonight, Gomez admitted that when she heard the news of her first Grammy nomination, 'I cried like a little baby. I was very excited. I worked really hard on that project, so it was a lovely surprise. I’m very excited!'

Additionally, she touched on her holiday plans this year, saying, 'Every year we do a white elephant and usually those are hilarious gifts. It just consists of adults playing with dumb toys and bunch of kids being happy. And a lot of good food. I’m really looking forward to being with my family. It’s been a busy year for me, so I’m excited.'
