Selena Gomez just made a subtle joke about Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's relationship on SNL
We all know the celeb world is very much a small one and, just like us with our mates, those famous types love to make a joke about one another from time to time. This week, it's the turn of Selena Gomez, who appeared to very publicly poke fun at Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson over their new relationship.
The joke came as part of Selena's hosting stint on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, which is (of course) where Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson were first linked back in October 2021 when they shared a kiss during their Aladdin sketch. As if you needed a reminder, eh?
Selena, 29, poked fun at her own dating life during her SNL monologue, before seeming to subtly reference Kim and Pete's meeting on the show. She told viewers, "One reason I’m really excited to host SNL is because I’m single - and I’ve heard SNL is a great place to find romance."
Hey, she's not wrong - and things all seem to be going swimmingly for Kim and Pete, so maybe there's something magic in the water?
The actress continued, saying, "Since I don’t really want to try the dating apps, I just want to put it in the universe that I’m manifesting love. But at this point, I would take anyone."
She then went on to reference all the various romances that have come out of SNL, including Emma Stone and her SNL producer husband Dave McCary, Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost, and Pete Davidson's bromance with Machine Gun Kelly - though she didn't mention Kim and Pete by name.
