Zoë Kravitz has delighted fans by sharing the first official image of herself as Catwoman, aka Selina Kyle from the upcoming The Batman movie.

The 32-year-old actress posted the photo on Instagram, having previously deleted all images from her page. She added the caption: "Selina Kyle #thebatman."

Kravitz can be seen sporting straight, shoulder-length hair and wearing a white vest in the image, instead of the iconic catsuit. The movie's director Matt Reeves also shared posters of the film featuring Batman, played by Robert Pattinson, and Paul Dano's Riddler.

Last year, the High Fidelity star was pictured on set of the movie wearing a black belted leather coat, matching fascinator, fishnet tights, and lace-up knee-high boots. She was seen with John Turturro, who plays Gotham crime boss Carmine Falcone in the film.

Kravitz recently revealed that training for the role had been "intense", and that she had been "in London for two months, just getting in shape, training, learning fights" during an appearance on the Questlove Supreme podcast. "I can fight now," she added.

Meanwhile, Pattinson has been self-deprecating about being cast as Batman, saying he never thought of it as a "realistic prospect". Director Reeves's new take on the series will culminate in a trilogy featuring the actor.

"It's kind of insane," Pattinson previously told Esquire UK. "I was so far away from ever thinking it was a realistic prospect. I literally do not understand how I've got it, at all."

Joining Kravitz and Pattinson in the franchise is Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcon, and Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson.

The Batman is set for release in March, 2022.
