See White Lotus star Leo Woodall in first trailer for new TV thriller
Apple TV+ has released a first-look trailer at Prime Target, a new thriller starring The White Lotus' Leo Woodall that is releasing later this month.
The footage lays out our central premise: Woodall plays a mathematics genius named Edward Brooks, who doubts the rules of numbers that everyone believes govern the world, something his professor (The Walking Dead's David Morrissey) tells him to drop.
Soon enough, he's being targeted by all sorts of shady figures, as his thesis could become to key to unlock every piece of digital security, which would understandably turn the world on its head.
Taylah Sanders (Quintessa Swindell), a NSA agent who has been monitoring him, soon teams up with Edward and the pair initially go on the run, before deciding to strike back.
Created by Sherlock writer Steve Thompson with Ridley Scott's production company on board, the show also stars Game of Thrones' Harry Lloyd, The Crying Game's Stephen Rea, X-Men: First Class' Jason Flemyng, and Borgen's Sidse Babett Knudsen, just to name a few.
Luckily, viewers won't have to wait for the full show following this trailer's release, as it is premiering on 22 January.
Meanwhile, Woodall has been cast opposite Dustin Hoffman in Tuner, a thriller in which he plays a piano tuner whose skills could be used to crack open safes.
He'll also be appearing in the fourth Bridget Jones movie, Mad About the Boy, as the new love interest for our titular heroine after a tragic twist.
Prime Target will be released globally on Apple TV+ from 22 January. New episodes will drop every Wednesday, with the finale on 5 March.
