Nestled deep in the countryside on the edge of rural Romsey, it’s an idyllic country getaway yet is only two hours' drive from London.
The ultra-cool home is sleek with a capital S, and boasts a heated indoor pool and changing rooms, a gym, and a sauna, all finished in edgy concrete-style tiling.
Much thought went into keeping the architectural home eco-smart, with an eco digestive purification system, air source heat pump and photovoltaic solar panels providing underfloor heating.
The interiors are a design-lover’s dream, with a minimalist scheme setting the scene for serenity; freestanding egg baths, floating staircases and modern art create a chic finish with a surrealistic edge.
A large entrance atrium flows into the open-plan living area with its Porro dining table and sliding doors leading to the sun-drenched patio. Upstairs, four spacious double bedrooms enjoy Porcelanosa en suites and a wraparound balcony.
The owner says of the design: 'I created the space with socialising at the forefront of my mind and in keeping with this, I also wanted the house to flow freely throughout to allow for open, airy spaces in which people can relax and enjoy being with one another.
'The interiors have been designed as a carefully curated fusion of East-meets-West. Pieces were specifically chosen to create a balance between the two cultures. Collecting art from up-and-coming artists is also a much-loved hobby of mine, you will see a variety of hand-picked works that I particularly enjoy throughout the house.'
You’ll find the impressive home sitting proudly at the end of a mile-long drive, nestled in 13 acres of wildflower gardens, lawns and paddocks bordering the northern edge of the New Forest. It's ideal for those wanting a reviving and restorative country-air escape.
