Harry Styles has officially won Halloween 2021, hands down. Sharing a photo of his costume with his 40.2 million Instagram followers, the former One Direction singer revealed he'd opted to dress as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz – iconic ruby red slippers included, of course.

In the post, which he captioned "Harryween," the 27-year-old wears a blue gingham dress with red polkadots (and a matching bow in his hair), red tights, blue socks and heavily blushed cheeks. Who knew an outfit so cute could be so sexy?

Clearly the look went down a real treat with fans, as the post has already racked up over 5 million likes. Plenty of fans and celebrities took to the comments section to share their appreciation for his outfit too. "Harry, I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore," said one fan, as another commented "THIS IS A FEVER DREAM I SWEAR."

Harry wore the iconic costume for a Halloween-themed concert at New York's Madison Square Garden on Saturday 30 October, and surprised fans with a rendition of Judy Garland's "Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

And, in a photo shared to his Instagram Story, Harry was surrounded by other iconic characters from the 1939 movie, including the Lion, the Tinman, the Scarecrow and the Wicked Witch of the West. He also carried a picnic basket, complete with a toy Toto dog – like Dorothy carries in the film.

Over on Twitter, fans had a lot to say about the outfit. "'I look cute.' I love a man who's self aware," said one fan, as another put "The world right now because Harry Styles is a literal work of art." A third fan tweeted: "I've said this before and I'll say it again, I love one man and one man only and that man is Harry Styles."

We can't wait to see what he pulls out of the bag for next year...
