There are some trends that come back around and please us all. See: curtain bangs, blue eyeshadow and butterfly clips.

But there are other revived that surprise (and kind of scare) us. Namely, micro-fringes.

Hinted in the name, micro-fringes are suuuper short fringes that sit around halfway down your forehead. While they look super cool, they also give me flashbacks to my year one school photos.

Despite being a Marmite trend, they seem to be the hairstyle of choice for most celebrities at the moment. Just this year alone, we’ve seen Lily Allen, Dua Lipa, Phoebe Dynevor, Lady Gaga and Bella Hadid all try it. And yes, they all looked incredible.

Now, seemingly taking inspo from her sister Bella, Gigi Hadid has also hopped on the micro-fringe trend.

In a series of pictures released ahead of Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty fashion show, due to on 24 September, Gigi can be seen working the runway with super long straight hair and a micro-fringe sitting across her forehead.

It’s a completely different look for the model and yet, she completely pulls it off. I mean, just look at how incredible she looks…

Of course, the show was recorded ahead of time and we’ve since seen Gigi rock various looks throughout New York Fashion Week, meaning these bangs are very likely clip-ins.

Either way, Gigi looks incredible and has us inching one step closer to trying the trend ourselves. Maybe one day…
