Harry Styles and Florence Pugh are in the middle of a conspiracy in the first trailer for Don't Worry Darling.

The duo star in the science fiction thriller as a couple whose idyllic 1950s marriage is a facade for a dark reality.

Harry Styles' character is part of the mysterious Victory Project alongside Wonder Woman 1984's Chris Pine and Veep's Timothy Simons, though they're not keen on sharing with their wives what they're actually doing at work.

As Florence Pugh's Alice starts to ask more questions about the Victory Project, things start to get weirder – and more dangerous for her marriage and her life.

Hollywood star Olivia Wilde is producing, directing and co-starring in Don't Worry Darling, and the film is where Wilde started dating her star Harry Styles.

Last week, at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Wilde offered an enigmatic preview of the movie: "Imagine a life where you could have anything you ever [wanted], not just the tangible things... but also the things that really matter: true love with the perfect partner, real trusted friendships.

"What would it take for you to give up that perfect life? What are you willing to sacrifice to do what's right? Are you willing to dismantle the system that is designed to serve you?"

The extended cast for Don't Worry Darling also includes Gemma Chan, The Old Guard actress KiKi Layne and Big Little Lies actor Douglas Smith.

Don't Worry Darling is currently scheduled to open in UK cinemas on September 22, 2022.
