Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are basically BFFs now. They Whatsapp each other memes all day, screen grab cute clothes on ASOS and definitely eye roll behind boring people's backs when no one else is looking. At least, that's how WE believe their relationship works, anyway.

While perhaps some of those suggestions are a bit of a stretch, there's one thing we reckon these pally sister-in-laws do share, and that's fashion secrets.

As a fully-fledged royal for sometime now, Kate has no doubt passed on a few tricks to the new Duchess of Sussex, including how to avoid awkward fashion mishaps in the public eye.

Just last week Meghan came under fire for accidentally flashing her bra - come on peeps, it's 2018, care less - so it would come as no surprise that she's taking steps to make sure there are no further awkward incidents in front of the cameras.

Myka Meier, founder of Beaumont Etiquette, told The Sun that there's one way the royal sister-in-laws are protecting themselves, and it's all to do with Spanx.

“Often they wear body suits and clothes that actually increase static so it’s much harder for something to fly up. So you have an under garment that is almost like a body suit that is one tactic that is used."

With Meghan's impending trip to Australia in October, she's probably looking for all the help she can get to avoid a wardrobe mishap like the one Kate had on the runway in Canada.

And Myka suggested that there's a special trick she could use there, too: “I know when I went to finishing school we were taught that when you are on the tarmac, if you do not use weights or heavy weighted material, you make sure it will not fly up by wearing under garments that keep the fabrics connect to your body."

She also suggests that most royals will don a hat before leaving the plane, to keep any wayward strands of hair in place.
