The secret reason why Meghan Markle's wearing turquoise jewellery now
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (AKA Meghan Markle) is wearing a notable amount of turquoise jewellery since giving birth to Archie
Turquoise is believed to have particular qualities that the Duchess could be consciously tapping into by purposively selecting the semiprecious gemstone
When Meghan Markle stepped out this weekend to attend the Boston Red Sox VS New York Yankees baseball game, you'd be forgiven for not noticing her earrings.
As one of the Duchess' fews public appearances since giving birth to baby Archie, we were all too busy fangirling over how radiant Meghan looks to focus on the specific components of her outfit:
But it seems that there's an interesting detail hiding in the Duchess' recent outfits that have been somewhat overlooked. When you zoom in to her baseball get-up, you can see that she's wearing a pair of cute turquoise stud earrings:
The rectangular design, featuring the blue stone framed with 18k gold trim, are by Jennifer Meyer and still available online:
While this might seem like an unremarkable addition, it turns out that Meghan's been picking turquoise jewellery a lot over the last few months, and there might be a compelling reason why.
If you cast you mind back to June, you might also recall that Meghan and Prince Harry first introduced little Archie to the world, with thew new mum wearing a stunning white trench dress:
On closer inspection you can see that Meghan also wore a dainty necklace featuring, you guessed it, turquoise.
So why is the Duchess repping the blue gemstone so much right now? Good question.
The answer is likely to do with the gemstone's spiritual qualities.
According to crystal company Energy Muse, turquoise is associated with protecting the wearer from harm. Given the recent rumours about drama between Harry and William, and the public reaction to the supposed 'royal feud', it's entirely possible that Meghan could be tapping into the good vibes associated with the stone:
"In crystal healing, the turquoise crystal stone meaning is associated with personal protection, making it a popular protective shield for ancient warriors heading out into battle."
Ooooo interesting, right? But wait, there's more.
The semi-precious gemstone is also believed to have powerful healing qualities, which makes sense as the Duchess only gave birth a few months ago.
"With this magical stone, always stay connected to the healing energy of water, the life-giving element that sustains the planet and the origins of life itself" explains the site.
"A good luck charm for health and abundance, use turquoise to realign your energy centers, helping clear the path to a higher consciousness."
While the Duchess could just be wearing the stones because she likes the colour, Meghan is also very switched on, meaning that she's also more than likely aware of the stone's spiritual associations.
Pick jewellery that'll make you look great and feel great? Winning.
