A schoolboy was caught by his mother using an Amazon Alexa device to cheat on his maths homework.

Footage shows Allen Ramirez, eight, whispering to a smart speaker, asking it subtraction questions.

The third-grade’s mother Iris Molina secretly filmed his escapades.

“Alexa? What is 97 minus 68?” Allen says to the virtual assistant, which quietly responds.

“I honestly didn’t know he was aware he could ask Alexa homework questions”, Ms Molina said.

“I was shocked and amused. I couldn’t stop laughing and thought my child was very clever.”
