Scarlett Johansson brands Mark Ruffalo a 'party pooper' for refusing Avengers tattoo

Scarlett Johansson has joked Mark Ruffalo is a "party pooper" for not getting an Avengers tattoo with the rest of the cast.

The Black Widow actress called out her co-star for failing to join in with herself, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner and Chris Hemsworth by getting the franchise's iconic logo etched on his body.

"We have an Avengers tattoo," Scarlett said during a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. "The only person who doesn't have it is Mark Ruffalo, because he's lame, basically."

"He's such a party pooper! I mean, a big party pooper," she added.

Scarlett insisted the cast went to great lengths to try and convince Mark to get the inking, but they failed in their efforts.

"We tried to get him to do it. We said, 'What about if we do it in white ink?... If we did it in water?' He just shut it down," she laughed.

Iron Man star Robert first revealed in 2018 that the cast had decided to celebrate their involvement in the superhero franchise with coordinated inkings.

"Five of the original six Avengers got a tattoo," he explained to EW.

"And the sixth was the tattoo artist, who gave it to five of us - the one who opted out being Mark Ruffalo. It was (Scarlett) Johansson's idea, and she and (Chris) Evans did it in New York. Then, their New York guy, Josh Lord, who is amazing, flew out to LA, he did me, did (Jeremy) Renner, and then we just bullied (Chris) Hemsworth into doing it, and he got it."
