Scarlett Johansson And Adam Driver Will Make You Weep In 'Marriage Strory' Trailer
Netflix have just released a trailer for their big autumn film - Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story - and we can already tell it's going to be a total heart breaker.
Black Widow Scarlett Johansson and Girls' Adam Driver star as married couple Nicole and Charlie. The trailers show the story from his-and-hers perspectives and are both equally as moving. He loves her dancing, she loves that he dresses well, they are very both competitive at Monopoly and are excellent parents to their son.
It's all happily-ever-after, until it's not.
The last few scenes of the trailer show the pair in a divorce hearing at court - and this combined with Otis Redding and Cat Power singing “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” - was enough to make us tear up.
They then try to have a conversation about what has unfolded in their marriage, but struggle to find the right words.

With a further cast including Big Little Lies hero Laura Dern, Merritt Wever, and Ray Liotta, it's an all-star line-up.
We don't know as yet when the film will be available to stream from our sofas but it will premier in Venice (on August 29), then Toronto (on September 8), and finally in New York (on October 4) before hitting cinemas nationwide late this autumn.
