Scarlet fever: Why red is the best possible colour a celebrity can wear after dark

Audrey Hepburn once said, “there is a shade of red for every woman” and she appears to have been right.

Various hues of red have dominated the red carpet for decades and it’s still a top pick today – at least a dozen celebrities wore the bold shade to the 2017 Golden Globes. And it’s easy to see why. It’s flattering, sexy, makes the wearer stand out and looks good on anyone – no matter what skin tone you have, what size and shape you are, what age you are and what colour your hair is.

Perhaps we should all house a little something red in our wardrobes.
