Following the recent Copenhagen Fashion Week, Scandinavian style is certainly experiencing a resurgence.
At the forefront of the movement is stylist/designer Nynne Kunde, who is quickly building up a reputation for merging minimalism and sustainable practices with her contemporary label NYNNE.
Regarding the importance of adopting eco-friendly fabrics and manufacturing methods, Kunde is adamant her designs empower the wearer.
"We make pieces which last and will work for a long time," she shared. "As a small brand, we work with Europe-based family-run manufacturers that we have a personal relationship with. Especially during tough times - such as the last year - it's important to communicate and work as a team. Our mission is to produce two collections a year, with the idea being to encourage women to look past fast-fashion trends."
Among Kunde's key pieces is the popular Diana dress, which features power shoulders and a voluminous skirt.
The design is now available in black, white, pale yellow, and beige, with more colourways to come.
"Honed over the last few seasons, the brand's signature shape - led by the Diana dress - takes centre stage having been ever so carefully developed to accommodate new elements and design details," Kunde explained.
"The Diana dress has been in every collection since the beginning of the brand and has become the signature piece. This season, it was made into fuchsia pink."
NYNNE is available to purchase online and at select stockists.
