Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick's play, Plaza Suite, finally has an opening date after several Covid-related delays.

The production was supposed to open in 2020 but was then postponed until this year. It was stalled again due to the continuing crisis but it has now been announced that Plaza Suite will open on 28 March 2022, a month after previews begin.

"We're overjoyed to finally be able to welcome Broadway audiences to the Hudson Theatre to see Neil Simon’s celebration of New York, New Yorkers, and the wonderful ways they fall in love," a statement from the couple to Deadline read. "We simply can't wait."

The play, by Neil Simon, follows three couples, all played by Broderick and Parker, who stay in Suite 719 at the Plaza Hotel. Its first run on Broadway began in 1968.
