Sarah Ferguson is never one to shy away from any question, and that's why we love her!

The former Duchess of York appeared on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday to open up about her daughter Princess Eugenie's royal wedding, which took place on 12 October.

Among the cheeky probes from Piers Morgan regarding her close relationship with Prince Andrew (to which she told him to 'get a life'), Fergie managed to address the comparisons that were made between her mother-of-the-bride hat, and the golden snitch from Harry Potter.

For the special day, Sarah wore a wide-brimmed bright green hat by Jess Collett, which featured two golden, structured straw 'wings' coming out of either side.

The unusual detailing on the hat sparked comparisons between the duchess' headgear and the golden snitch from Harry Potter, leading to hilarious memes and viral tweets.

One extremely popular tweet read: 'When you've got a #RoyalWedding at 11 but Harry Potter has to catch you to win a Quidditch match at 2.'

In true Fergie style, the 59-year-old laughed off the comparisons. 'We love the Golden Snitch but I hadn't realised that until afterwards!' she joked. 'There's always something I do!'

In fact, the quirky hat was a special tribute to her late mother, Susan Barrantes, who sadly died in a car accident in Buenos Aires in 1998. 'I sort of wanted that Spanish style for mum again, that Argentine look,' she revealed.

Perhaps making her feel even closer to her mother on that special day, Sarah spotted her mum's close friend in the crowds outside the chapel. 'The lady in the wheelchair was mum's best friend,' she added.

Earlier this month Sarah revealed her outfit had another touching tribute to her mother, and to her 1986 wedding to Prince Andrew. Explaining why she wore green, the 59-year-old said: ‘Mum had carried the handbag at my wedding to Prince Andrew and the admission tickets were still in it.'
