In news no-one expected to receive today, music producer Mark Ronson has said he identifies as sapiosexual.

In an interview with Good Morning Britain, Ronson made the comments following a debate about French minister Marlene Schiappa, who has also described herself as a sapiosexual.

During the show, Kate Garraway commented that Ronson had got very involved in a dressing room debate behind the scenes about the sexuality before GMB went on air.

"Yeah I didn't know that there was a word for it," he said, "We were all arguing backstage in the dressing room with a couple of your producers. And yes I feel like I am identifying as sapiosexual."

Defined by the Cambridge Dictionary as "a person who is sexually attracted to intelligent people", sapiosexuals are people who value a 'meeting of minds' more than physical attraction.

Ronson, 44, was previously married to French actress Josephine de La Baume, 34, before the couple announced their separation in 2018.
