Samsung has unveiled the latest additions to its Galaxy Note family and there are two new devices to choose from: the Note 10 and Note 10+.

The tech giant announced the launches at the annual Galaxy Unpacked event in New York City earlier this month.

Both smartphones come with a host of new features, but the Note 10+ has an impressive 6.8-inch infinity AMOLD glass screen and 5G, for the first time.

The two new handsets are available to purchase from today.

You can buy the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note+ at UK retailers, including Carphone Warehouse with tariffs starting from £49. For the 5G handsets, you will need to check if your mobile phone provider is offering 5G before buying the handset.

So what are the main features?

Both the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ come in two options: black and aura glow with a prismatic rainbow backing.

There are four rear cameras in the larger Note 10+, and no microSD card slot in the smaller Note10. There’s a larger battery and more RAM in the Note 10 Plus versus the Note 10, and wireless charging gets faster for both phones.

There is also a 5G version of the Galaxy Note 10+ which is identical apart from the modem inside that gives access to the fastest data speeds - they all share the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset inside.

Samsung has killed off the headphone jack in both Note 10 phones, possibly because people are turning to wireless headphones and earbuds. You will either have to purchase a separate adaptor or use the pair of USB-headphones that come in the box.

What else was announced at Galaxy Unpacked?

While the Galaxy Note handsets stole the show, it wasn’t the only new items announced at the tech giant’s inaugural event.

Samsung also revealed the new Samsung Galaxy Book S, a new 2-in-1 Windows laptop that runs Qualcomm’s 8cx chipset and meant for always-on productivity, but it’s not released until the Autumn.

Earlier this year, Samsung also launched the Galaxy Watch Active 2, a sporty unisex smartwatch, and Galaxy Tab S6, a tablet faster, slimmer than its predecessor.
