Sainsbury's launches 4 homeware collections for AW20

Sainsbury's Home has launched four stylish collections for autumn/winter 2020 — and prices start from just £1.

The new Sainsbury's homeware collections — Dutch Glam, Modern Home, Loft Living and Faux Floral — offers affordable updates for every kind of living space. From kitchen essentials to artificial plants, there is something for everyone.

"Our in-house design and buying teams have worked hard to produce a range that reflects rapidly evolving demands for the home," says Rona Olds Head of Product, Home & Furniture at Sainsbury's. "Spending more time indoors has led us to focus on homeware that is functional and reliable but also calming and comforting – these principles continue to guide us as we look to pieces that suit a variety of settings, whilst still lifting our spirits and expressing our individual styles."

Inspired by Dutch flower painters, the Dutch Glam range taps into a rich, jewel-toned colour palette. Expect velvet textures, brush brassed accessories and alluring mirrored surfaces.

"As our customers gain confidence in the home, bold interiors and
statement conversational pieces have grown in popularity," says Charlotte Greenwood, Homewares Designer.

"Illuminating the dark winter evenings is the elegant peacock motif that features across textiles and in the form of a spectacular gilded
lamp, adding just the right amount of eccentricity."

Punctuated by unique floral prints, the Dutch Glam range is perfect for upgrading your kitchenware in style. Is anyone else obsessed with these gold mirrored bowls?

The Modern Home range exists to help homeowners create a fresh and sophisticated feel at home. You'll discover chunky woven textiles, robust ceramics, wicker storage baskets, and cast-iron cookware.

"Spending more time at home has emphasised the need for affordable items that are durable, multi- functional, and able to cater to shifting purposes and needs," says Abigail Clarson, Senior Designer, Home.

"Minimalist shapes and neutral shades allow the pieces within the range to move around the home – whether set within the bedroom, living room or dining space."

Small spaces is right at the heart of this third trend, Loft Living. Characterised by striking mustard hues, tonal grey, and
black, the collection features graphic geometric textiles and bold colour-block accessories. We've got our eye on the practical set of three decorative shelves — perfect for tiny flats in the city.

"Loft Living channels the New York City charm favoured by trend-setters across the globe, blending utilitarian functionality with chic graphic detailing and a striking colour scheme," explains David Hutcheson, Senior Designer, Home Accessories.

Spruce up your living space with Faux Floral, the final trend from Sainsbury's. Perfect for the not-so-green-fingered, these plants look as good as the real thing.

Sian Butler, Senior Buyer, explains: "Well suited for busy modern lifestyles, hassle-free faux florals continue to be an essential home trend. Large-leaf statement botanicals effortlessly add structure to a room, whilst floral arrangements, tumbling green vines and hanging succulents inject colour and life to interiors."

Whilst not a new trend, Sainsbury's is also stocking a whole host of spooky homeware accessories ahead of Halloween. Choose from candles, cups and plates adorned with skulls and pumpkins alike. Trick-or-treat, anyone?
