Rylan Clark-Neal is returning to BBC Radio 2 after 10 weeks off the air.

The 32-year-old presenter has been taking time away from his hectic schedule in order to focus on his mental health.

His decision was encouraged following the announcement he was divorcing his husband of six years, Dan Neal.

But speaking on the radio on Wednesday, Zoe Ball confirmed Clark-Neal would return to his position this weekend.

“I have some really wonderful news to share with you Radio 2 listeners,” she announced.

“Our dear friend and station buddy Rylan is gonna be back to his show on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday.

“I know we've all missed him so much, so many of you wonderful listeners have reached out and sent him so much love. But he's gonna be back to his show.”

“Oh I've missed you Rylan,” Ball continued. “He's made of magic that one, so we'll welcome him back with big arms.

“I might even come in and do that running along the platform thing where you run to give someone a hug, and then run straight past them.”

The presenter’s show will air from 3-6pm this Saturday.

Clark-Neal announced in June that he was getting a divorce in a post on Instagram, explaining he was spending some time around loved ones in private.

“I just wanted to write a message to thank you all for the love and kindness you have shown us,” he wrote.

“We are currently prioritising our mental health and looking after the ones around us we love the most. I am working towards getting back to the jobs I love in due course. Thank you for being patient with me X.”

It’s believed his return to TV will be on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off series, It Takes Two which, until last year, he hosted with Ball.

Janette Manrara, who has been a Strictly pro dancer for the past seven years, was announced this year to be taking over Ball, ending her time as a regular in the BBC competition.

The new series of the family favourite returns this month.
