Ryan Reynolds And Jason Momoa Team Up For New Movie
Deadpool's Ryan Reynolds is joining forces with Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza and Vince Vaughn for an R-rated road trip movie titled Animal Friends.
Deadline reports that Key & Peele's Peter Atencio will direct for Legendary Pictures.
As far as plot details are concerned, not much has been revealed, but on a visual level it'll combine live-action with animation.
Coming off the back of The White Lotus season 2 and a mystery part in Marvel's Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Plaza is enjoying the biggest year of her career so far, while comedy great Vaughn might be quietly working on a Dodgeball sequel too.
Momoa, meanwhile, is about to debut in the Fast & Furious-verse as villain Dante Reyes.
He is, of course, known for playing DC's Aquaman, and will return to the dark depths of the ocean this Christmas in sequel The Lost Kingdom.
Addressing his future in the role following James Gunn's appointment at the top of DC Studios, Momoa teased back in January: "I love Gunn and so there's gonna be some really cool things, what they're doing with DC, and I definitely will be in more than just one.
"There's room for me to play a couple different [roles]. I've seen other actors do it. Yeah. I want a shot. We have a special relationship… I wish I could say more. I'll always be Aquaman, and there's a lot of evolution for that.
"So I'm not going anywhere and it's very exciting."
