Ruth Langsford all smiles in stunning new photo after breaking down in tears during TV appearance

Ruth Langsford was all smiles on Tuesday evening when she was spotted beaming in a stunning new selfie after an emotional TV appearance.

Taking to her Instagram account, the Loose Women star was a vision as she posed up a storm in a quick mirror selfie wearing a slick leather jacket and skin-tight skinny jeans. Her stylish look was completed with a perfect pink manicure.

Captioning the photo, Ruth penned: "Thanks for watching…and shopping!," alongside a GIF that read: "Good night". The star snapped herself in the lift after her stint on QVC.

As for her hair and makeup, Ruth's glamorous tresses were worn down and straight complimenting her face of camera-ready makeup comprised of lashings of mascara, brushes of bronzer and light pink lipstick.

The beautiful photo came just hours after the TV star was spotted in an emotional moment as she appeared on Loose Women.

Ruth broke down in tears whilst discussing how people cope with the death of their beloved pets on Tuesday's show which you can see in the clip below.

The panel chatted about recent upsetting scenes on Coronation Street, in which the character, Evelyn Plummer had to have her dog put to sleep.

Ruth was obviously moved by the clip and said: "Oh I can't bear it!" Coleen Nolan chimed in: "Oh my god, you're actually going to cry - it's not even your dog!"

Ruth responded: "I know!" as Coleen interjected: "It's acting!"

"I know, but you know, I'm a massive Corrie fan... Oh god," Ruth added as she teared up more. "That's because you're thinking of Maggie," Coleen said.

Maggie is Ruth and husband Eammon Holmes' rescue dog who according to the former This Morning star is nearing the end of her life.

The programme showed a photo of the adorable pooch, prompting Ruth to wipe away her tears. She said: "My little Maggie's probably about 13, look at her there. She's getting a bit grey.'

Ruth also previously had to have her dog Diva put down. The fellow members of the Loose Women panel then suggested they move onto another topic.
