Ruth Langsford shared her fresh blonde highlights and new haircut on Instagram this morning (13 April), following her first trip to the hairdresser's after salons were able to reopen across England yesterday (12 April).

In the post, Ruth shakes her freshly cropped hair with a huge grin on her face, announcing she was “SO HAPPY” to have had a professional chop again.

She also admitted she already had a “facial & pedicure booked too” and joked that she felt like she was being ‘rebuilt’ now she was able to get back to the professionals.

Ruth wasted no time in getting herself booked in for all her favourite treatments as yesterday, on the first day beauticians were able to offer appointments again, Ruth was straight in for a manicure.

She shared a peek of her natural, French-style nails with the caption, “Who knew we would be so ridiculously excited to get our nails done?!!”

In both posts Ruth thanked and tagged the beauticians who had got her feeling her best again after such a long break.

Friends and followers shared their excitement for Ruth's fresh new look, revealing the treatments they had planned and complimenting Ruth’s new hair and nails.

Susannah Constantine (of Trinny and Susannah) praised Ruth’s “great colour” while Great British Bake Off Winner Candice Brown said she looked “gorge”. Fellow Loose Women Saira Khan presenter agreed, commenting “gorgeous” alongside the post.

Like everyone else over lockdown, Ruth has had to get creative with home beauty treatments and try to get by with DIY alternatives.
