Ruth Langsford shared an adorable video of her rescue dog looking sorry for herself in a protective collar.

The ITV presenter shared a short clip of the glossy black dog wearing a padded blue collar around her neck and looking less than impressed.

Ruth explained that the collar was to protect a “sore spot on her leg” and prevent Maggie from licking it and making it worse.

Ruth joked that poor Maggie was wearing the “collar of shame” and said “she hates me so much right now!”

She added that she had tried to explain to Maggie “its for her own good but she’s having none of it!”

Ruth’s husband and co-presenter Eamonn Holmes left a comment on the post saying, “my baby…honestly, if I’m not there to look after her…”

Other friends and followers were quick to offer their support for the poorly pup, including fellow Loose Women presenter Jane Moore who commented, “Poor Maggie!” with a heart emoji.

Another of Ruth’s close friends and Homes Under the Hammer Lucy Alexandra commented saying “noooo mags”, while Great British Bake Off’s Candice Brown said, “oh Maggie", also with a heart emoji.

Ruth’s rescue dog is just one of the four-legged friends owned by ITV presenters which have found themselves online fans.
