Ruth Langsford posts heartwarming tribute to her "force of nature" mum
Ruth Langsford shared an heart-warming tribute to her mum with a sweet post on Instagram, to mark International Women's Day (Wednesday 8 March).
The ITV presenter took to social media to share a lovely photograph showing Ruth standing with an arm around her mum, Joan, describing her as a "force of nature."
To celebrate International Women's Day, Ruth began the post by shouting out, "all the wonderful women in my life who have seen me through thick & thin," adding, "you know who you are," with a red heart emoji.
However, there was one person in particular that Ruth wanted to pay special tribute to.
"The biggest, loudest shout out has to go to my wonderful Mum Joan who I am still lucky enough to have in my life," Ruth wrote in the caption. "She is a force of nature. Love you Mummy."
Ruth often shares clips of the time she and her mum spend together. On Sundays, the pair get together for a roast dinner.
Last week (Sunday 5 March), Ruth shared a video of her mum doing crosswords and cuddling the family dog, as well as dancing while prepping the vegetables for Sunday lunch.
The mother-daughter duo clinked glasses and enjoyed a glass of fizz together before tucking into their meal.
The clip ends by showing the pair going head to head in a game of scrabble, and Ruth zooms in on her mum's cup of tea, revealing that the mug reads "Scrabble Queen."
