Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes and are 'still speaking every day' amid split

It's been reported that Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have still been "speaking every day" amid their separation. GB News host Eamonn and Loose Women star Ruth announced on 25 May that they'd decided to call time on their 14-year marriage.

The news was shared in a joint statement at the time, which read: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.” Eamonn, 64, has since thanked fans for their support, while Ruth, also 64, has remained silent on the split.

Now, new reports have claimed the couple are "still speaking every day' amid their very public break-up. It comes after eagle-eyed viewers have spotted both Eamonn and Ruth still wearing their wedding rings.

Although the pair have announced their split, sources have said that they still remain in contact. A source told The Sun: "Eamonn and Ruth are still in contact, they speak every day. Although they've separated, they're still sharing their dog, Maggie, at the moment and of course they have their son, Jack."

OK! has contacted representatives for both Eamonn and Ruth for comment.

Rumours of a potential split have been swirling for a while for the former couple and the GB News presenter had sparked concerns about the state of his relationship himself after telling his followers he had "loads to think about".

But then earlier this month, Eamonn took to Instagram to share a snap with his wife Ruth, at the time appearing to dismiss speculation. Meanwhile, however Eamonn has been battling chronic back pain after undergoing spinal surgery in 2022 and a double-hip replacement in 2016.

Since the shock announcement of their split, Ruth has been seen out and about still wearing her wedding ring and Eamonn was also still wearing his ring during his appearance on GB News on Tuesday. During his segment, the presenter thanked fans and said the support shown by fans following the announcement had "meant so much" to himself and Ruth.

He explained: "Just before we move on we'd just like to thank people for your support for Ruth and I over the last few days as to the news of our separation. Your support for both of us is very much appreciated."

But more recent reports have suggested that friends have been expressing concerns for Eamonn, noting his mood has changed as his marriage ends. Ruth - who is yet to comment on the split - and Eamonn met in 1997 after being introduced by a mutual friend and went on to marry in Hampshire in 2010, now sharing a 21 year old son, Jack.
