Ruth Langsford has shared a very funny post on Instagram about couples cohabiting in lockdown, which features a woman becoming incensed by the sound of her partner's chewing.

We've all been there. And don't get us started on the snoring, and the coffee slurping. The sneezing, yawning, the swallowing... We could go on.

The Loose Women star reposted the picture, which husband Eamonn Holmes had originally shared, which reads: "She loved him. But when he heard him chew, she fantasised about his death."

"She REALLY did!!! Anyone else?" Ruth captioned the picture.

Ruth's fans and followers sided with her immediately, and began revealing what their partners did that drove them up the wall.

"I leave the room especially when he gets the peanuts out," one confessed.

"Yup, I've got a porridge and tea slurper. Aaaaaarrrrrggggggghhhh!! I have to leave the room," another added.

Eamonn had posted the image first, reaching out to his followers for sympathy, having written the jokey caption: "This is an actual thing in our House. Mrs Holmes suffers from a condition which makes her sensitive to me even breathing. And I hear other couples may be similar. I'm thinking of writing to Dear Deidre."

He received a similar response from followers who were siding with Ruth, with one admitting: "Yes, you can join my hubby. I also have this condition, it drives me around the bend. I think it started from my dad slurping his tea ...."

"This made me chuckle at least it’s just not me... Tell my hubby that," another wrote.

Ruth and Eamonn will be back to co-host This Morning during half term, from Monday 15th until Friday 19th February.
