The royals are setting a good example for us all by showing their support for small businesses during the pandemic.
As shops, businesses and organisations start to reopen, it’s more important than ever to help them survive financially after months of closure due to lockdown restrictions.
Members of the royal family have shown their support, including the Queen, who gave her best wishes to business communities throughout the UK.
“At a time of great difficulty for many, it is heart-warming to see the civic response and generosity of so many businesses, small and large, to the challenges posed, whether supporting the health sector or vulnerable communities," she said.
“I wish all businesses every success in their endeavours in the weeks and months ahead,” read a post by the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also took the time to visit two independent businesses to hear how they’ve been impacted by coronavirus and how they’re adapting to a new normal.
Kate visited Fakenham Garden Centre, where she met the owners and members of staff.
Prince William received a very special birthday cake during his visit to Smiths the Bakers, who have been operating in King’s Lynn for 50 years.
