Royal watchers have noticed a charming quirk of Kate Middleton's - affectionately termed the "Princess Shuffle".

The Princess of Wales is seen executing the subtle move in a TikTok video that's gone viral with more than 340,000 views. The clip's caption explains how Kate uses this technique to "discreetly" edge closer to others before a photo is snapped.

Prompted to sidle up to her right, the footage shows Kate elegantly gliding her feet sideways, all while maintaining her forward-facing pose - a nifty trick, especially in heels!

The video has charmed thousands of royal enthusiasts, with many expressing their admiration for the Princess Shuffle. One comment read: "Loving the shuffle." While another fan wrote: "We love her! [...] You shuffle Princess from one cancer survivor to you."

Earlier this week, Kate featured in an endearing video with Prince William and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, where she revealed she has completed her chemotherapy treatment.

The 42-year-old opened up about her cancer battle, describing the past months as "scary" and "incredibly tough". She shared a message of hope, stating: "Out of darkness, can come light." She also expressed solidarity with others facing cancer, saying: "I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand."

She went on: "The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything."

Kate now plans to start a light programme of royal engagements. Palace sources said she is hoping to attend the Cenotaph with her family for Remembrance Sunday but would not be joining William in November during the future King's Earthshot Prize awards in South Africa.
