Roxanne Pallett’s representative has responded to reports that the former Emmerdale actress is looking for a ‘normal job’ following her false ‘punch’ accusations on Celebrity Big Brother.

A report in OK! Magazine claimed that since Pallett’s CBB stint in 2018, media work opportunities had all but dried up, forcing her to look for a ‘normal job.’

A representative for the 36-year-old actress says these claims are ‘ridiculous’ and that the actress has deliberately stayed out of the spotlight since leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house in September last year.

“Roxanne chose to turn away from any projects and interviews following last summer so she could take some time out in private,” her rep told Digital Spy.

Pallett is set to make her TV comeback in the coming weeks as she will appear on E4’s Celebrity Coach Trip. The reality show was filmed last year, before her stint on Celebrity Big Brother.

The series sees celebrities paired as couples, before they board a coach and travel across Spain, competing in various challenges and tasks. Couples then vote off which couples they’ve enjoyed holidaying with the least.

Pallett has been paired with Britain’s Got Talent contestant George Sampson for the latest series of Coach Trip. They will compete against fellow celebrities Charlotte Crosby, Joshua Ritchie, Sam Thompson, Bobby Norris and real life Strictly couple Ola and James Jordan.

Pallett was last seen on television in September when she appeared in another pre-recorded reality series, Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls. Airing just weeks after she exited Celebrity Big Brother, she quit the desert island set series one episode in.

The former Emmerdale actress asked to be removed from the show after suffering a panic attack. She said the smell of the camp fire had provoked memories of a traumatic house fire from her childhood.

Celebrity Coach Trip continues on E4 weekdays at 7.30pm.
