Rooney Mara, Diane Kruger & More Celebrate Cate Blanchett at MoMA

Cate Blanchett has built up quite a reputation based on her impressive acting chops and impeccable personal style—and now, she’s being honored for her contributions to the medium of film as a whole.

On Tuesday night, the Aussie Oscar winner with terrific taste was recognized by the movie industry and fashion world with a Film Benefit gala at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art. She’s the eighth entertainer to have such an event in her name; past honorees have included Tilda Swinton (2013), Quentin Tarantino (2012), and Baz Luhrmann (2008).

Celebs came out in droves to support Blanchett, decked out in their best black outfits with more than a few down-to-there necklines on display. Highlights included Rooney Mara’s unexpected twist on the classic hair twist, a rise in serpent-like accessories, and of course, Blanchett’s entire look. I’m not kidding when I say that, in person, this woman glows.
