Rob Lowe says Prince William losing his hair was 'one of the greatest traumatic experiences'

In the last ten years the future King of England has married, settled down and become a father of three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

But for actor Rob Lowe, there's one major difference between Prince William then and now - his hair.

“Can we talk about William?” Rob Lowe asked in an interview with The Telegraph. “I mean the future king of your country let himself lose his own hair!”

He continued, “Honestly, one of the great traumatic experiences of my life was watching Prince William lose his hair.”

Perhaps the reason why Lowe feels the loss of William’s hair so keenly is because, like the Prince, he too was once a teen heartthrob. Asked if he considered himself “more or less vain than British men”, Lowe claimed it was a “low bar", citing Prince William as an example.

He said, “He’s going to be the f***ing king of England! And...there’s a pill!”

Unlike Prince William, the 55 year old actor has a thick thatch of hair that he’s worked hard to maintain.

He said, “The first glimmer that a single hair of mine was going to fall out, I was having stuff mainlined into my f***ing veins. And that’s what I did for the next 30 years.”

A few royalists online didn't take kindly to Lowe's jokes.

Though there was one sneaky Twitter user who wanted a piece of Lowe’s self-care regimen.

Nobody tell Lowe about Prince Harry’s thinning patch. He might not be able to handle it a second time around.
