Riverdale's Vanessa Morgan and husband Michael Kopech have split up, with news of the professional baseball player filing for divorce emerging just days after Vanessa revealed she's pregnant.

Vanessa, who plays Toni Topaz on the CW series, and the Chicago White Sox player started dating in 2018 and got married in January in an intimate ceremony in front of close family and friends, including Vanessa's Riverdale co-stars.

According to TMZ, Michael filed the divorce documents on June 19. Vanessa last posted a picture of her with Michael on April 30, which marked his birthday.

On Friday, the Riverdale star announced that she's expecting her first child with Michael, but fans noticed that he wasn't present in any of the pictures that accompanied the announcement.

Sharing the happy news, Vanessa posted pictures from the gender reveal, a picture of her positive pregnancy test and also a picture from her first scan in May.

"I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January 💙 ," she wrote. "It’s almost like everything I thought mattered in this life has completely changed... We’re here for such a greater purpose and life is so precious. I can’t believe how much growth & strength you’ve already given me as your mum. It’s like God knew I needed you, my angel. The universe works in mysterious ways but always times everything the way it was meant to be."

She finished, "I’m just so happy & can’t wait to dedicate everyday to being the best mummy I can be ♥️ ."

We hope the pair ~ who are yet to publicly comment on the split news themselves ~ are both doing OK as break ups are never easy, especially during a pregnancy.
