Lili Reinhart from Riverdale has celebrated the show's fifth season airing by sharing some behind the scenes photos from the pilot on Instagram.

It's hard to remember what Netflix was like without Riverdale, the high school series about Archie, Betty, Jughead and Veronica and the sinister happenings of their small town. But Lili, 24, recently took to Instagram to mark four years since filming began, by sharing some snaps from the pilot episode.

"Riverdale premiered 4 years ago," the actress wrote to her 26.9million followers. "And what a wild ride it has been since then. In honour of that— here are some pics from 5 years ago, when we were just little babies who had no idea that we were about to become family."

The photos show Lili, who plays Betty, alongside KJ Apa, who plays Archie, the infamous Riverdale diner, and a snap of Cole Sprouse as Jughead.

Fans were all over the photos, reminiscing about the early days of Riverdale. "Y’ALL ARE SO TINY LET ME CRY," one wrote, while another added, "I'm so so so proud of you all."

Someone else put, "Thank you for being the most amazing cast i love you all so much," and a different comment read, "I'M SO HAPPY WE GOT TO KNOW YOU OVER THESE YEARS."

The fifth season of Riverdale, which dropped on Netflix this month, features a seven year time jump into the future. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Lili previously explained, "We're actually doing a seven-year time jump into the future so we're not going to be teenagers anymore.

"I'm really psyched about it. I think it will be really nice to play an adult. But I also really appreciate that Roberto [Aguirre-Sacasa], our showrunner, said let’s revamp. So we’re not just stuck in high school for seven seasons."

Season 5 of Riverdale is available to watch on Netflix now.
