When is season 6 of Riverdale being released?

First things first, before we talk about any fan theories or casting speculation, we've got to get that official confirmation. Well, the good news is that after months of hoping we finally have it. According to a report from Decider US network The CW recently announced a number of series renewals including Riverdale, confirming that the show will be back for a sixth series.

We have yet to get an official release date for the series, but in the statement they issued to Decider, The CW said they were looking to get a head start on their renewed shows. Of course, this all depends on how the rest of the year goes in terms of filming restrictions and Covid precautions.
