Step aside 90s, the 00s are officially having a revival, as decided by none other than Rihanna herself. When it comes to trends, there's no one that does it quite like Bad Gal RiRi and what she says, goes. This time around, the singer – and soon-to-be Super Bowl performer *screams* – has given the go-ahead for this iconic Y2K hairstyle to make a comeback. Don't worry, we're not talking about hair crimping (eek), what we're on about is the era's iconic baby braids.
In recent shots for her new Savage Sport's campaign, the Grammy-winner was seen debuting her new product line, whilst wearing some nostalgic baby braids. And what a look it was, have a peek for yourselves:
If you weren't around for the OG debut of the 00s baby braid, we'll forgive you and provide an explainer. The trend involved taking small face-framing tendrils and plaiting them to create teeny-tiny braids. It was very Bratz doll of us.
It's also probably the easiest trend in the world to do, so thanks for that, Rih.
Considering the billionaire has got her newborn son and her up-and-coming Super Bowl performance to get ready for, we can't imagine how Riri is juggling it all, let alone also having the time to serve us these beauty looks.
We cannot wait to see what she steps out in for her Super Bowl debut. The wait it (almost) over.
