Rihanna teases her Met Gala look with an all-over feathers outfit
Just hours before the Met Gala, Rihanna sent fans into a spiral when she teased her look for the iconic event.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday night (30 April), the singer wore a head-to-bump feathered 'fit. The chic, monochrome lewk was made up of a black-and-white feathered hat with a matching jacket and a white minidress. She paired the feathery magic with strappy silver and black heels, white Chanel glasses and sparkling diamond jewellery – honestly, the whole thing just screams fabulous.
"Not even Monday," the almost mum-of-two wrote in the caption, alluding to tonight's much-anticipated Met Gala, which will see celebrities and fashion icons alike gather on the steps of the Met.
Unsurprisingly the outfit went down a real treat with fans, racking up over six million likes and a lot (like, a lot) of praise in the comments section. "So much yes omg," one person wrote, as someone else said: "I know that’s right."
"Oh, so she's going to the MET?" a third fan said with excitement, as someone else chimed in with: "Speechless before Monday."
Last year, Rihanna – who is a fan fave at the Met Gala – was forced to miss the event, with fans speculating this was due to travel restrictions in her third trimester of pregnancy. Despite not being there in person, though, she still stole the show with a collaborative instalment at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
"Shut down the Met in marble!" she wrote in a post on Instagram, showing off the statue of her pregnant body on display at the world-famous gallery. "What’s more gilded than that? Lol! Thank you @metmuseum and @voguemagazine for this historic tribute! Y’all bad for this one!"
