Rihanna is used to shutting down the Met Gala.
Last night was no different, with the 33-year-old singer showing up fashionably late to the Met Gala 2021 wearing a stunning Balenciaga black ruffle dress and a black knit beanie.
The billionaire was joined by her boyfriend rapper A$AP Rocky, 32, making this their first red carpet debut as a couple since announcing their relationship publicly in November 2020.
Aside from her outfit, fans were blown away by the singer’s glowing skin.
She wore Fenty Beauty PRO FILT'R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, available at Boots for an affordable £27. The long-wear matte foundation is available in a ground-breaking 50 shades.
The foundation provides long-lasting medium to full coverage and has been curated to suit people with uneven and hard-to-match skin tones. It’s also sweat, humidity and crease-resistant which is an added benefit for people with oily skin.
Since launching Fenty Beauty in September 2017, Rihanna has always said it's important that her products can be worn by everyone, no matter what their skin tone.
She said: “I’m proud that we have changed the conversation. It’s not about the number of shades, it’s about the people everywhere in the world. I created this brand and these products for everyone and will never stop doing that."
Other singers who have launched beauty lines in recent years include Jennifer Lopez, who launched her makeup line JLo Beauty in December 2020, and Lady Gaga who launched Haus Laboratories, a vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics brand, in September 2019.
Neither have been as successful as Fenty Beauty, however, which is worth $2.8 billion according to Forbes’ estimates. Its popularity, along with the success of her skincare line Fenty Skin which launched in July 2020 and her lingerie line Savage x Fenty which launched in May 2018 mean that Rihanna’s net worth is estimated at $1.7 billion.
Fenty Beauty PRO FILT'R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation is one of Fenty Beauty's highest rated products, with over 4,600 reviews on Boots website alone.
The wide range of shades allows people of all skin tones to wear matte foundation without the need for mixing. It takes away the shiny areas on oily skin and also has a blurring effect for pores.
