Rihanna’s latest hairstyle just took us right back to 2006
Another day, another incredible hairstyle by Rihanna.
Not long after cutting in long sideburns, the singer and beauty entrepreneur debuted her shortest mullet to date (wearing a bikini and thigh-high boots, no less – seriously, the pictures are incredible) and then showed us what said mullet looks like from the back. Hint: it’s very, very long.
Now, the owner of Fenty Beauty has shared a whole new look – except, it isn’t new at all.
Attending the watch party for her Savage x Fenty fashion show in New York, Rihanna walked in with sleek long hair and a super heavy full fringe that framed her smoky eyes perfectly.
As soon as I saw Rihanna's hair, done by go-to hairstylist Yusef, I was immediately taken back to her 2006 Unfaithful music video. You know, the song that we were all screaming into our shampoo bottles in the shower. Oh, the nostalgia.
That fringe was so iconic, I remember four girls at school turning up with fringes after being inspired with her. The power.
Come to think of it, Rihanna was a bit of a fringe Queen back in ‘06. Not long before dropping Unfaithful, she gave us SOS, which also featured an incredible side fringe – and I definitely printed out a picture (lol, no screenshots back then) to take to the hairdressers.
Ah Rihanna, she really is the gift that keeps on giving.
