Rihanna's spokesperson has assured fans she is 'completely fine' after she was pictured with bruises on her face following an accident.

Over the weekend, TMZ published photographs of the 'If It's Lovin' That You Want' singer with bruising on her forehead and showing a black eye. The photos were reportedly taken of Rihanna in a car in the Santa Monica area of Los Angeles last Friday.

Following the website's publication of the images, a spokesperson for the Grammy winner confirmed to People that she is 'completely' fine and clarified the cause of the bruising.

'Rihanna is completely fine now but flipped over on an electric scooter last week and bruised her forehead and face,' her representative told the magazine.

'Luckily there were no major injuries and she is healing quickly.'

In typical Rihanna fashion, the star has been quietly working away behind the scenes in recent months on her numerous ventures.

The 32-year-old launched the long-awaited Fenty Skin arm of her namesake brand last month, starting with the essentials: a cleanser, serum and SPF on the line's first day.

She's also working on her upcoming, currently untitled album, R9 which fans literally can't wait for - hounding her at every possible moment.

The latest update from the star was given to Entertainment Tonight in July, during which the singer assured fans the album will be worth the wait.

'I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it's gonna come out,' the star said. 'And you're not going to be disappointed when it happens. It's going to be worth it.

'I'm not just gonna put it out just because people are waiting,'

Oh, and while we're highlighting Rihanna's recent achievements - the designer's mindblowing Savage X Fenty runway show/dance spectacular from 2019 has also been nominated for an Emmy.
