Revealed! 100 best green spaces in the UK, if you're looking to move

From idyllic mountain rages to glorious sand-dune beaches, new research has uncovered the UK's best nature spots and natural wonders for Brits to move to.

A study commissioned by natural cosmetics company, Weleda, found the most idyllic spot for a nature refresh is Mewslade Bay beach on Gower, Wales. Famed for its rock pools, towering cliffs, caves and fine stretch of sand, it's one that many of us would be lucky to live near.

Rousay, Orkney Islands in Scotland took the second place, while, unsurprisingly, the Lake District in Cumbria came third. Other areas that can help to soothe your soul include North Yorkshire, Cornwall, Wales and the Cotswolds.

As part of their research, they also found that 66% of people want to spend more time outside once lockdown lifts, while 63% of Brits explain that having access to a green space has become even more of a priority.

"Despite the hardships of the pandemic, we have seen more people rediscover and reconnect with nature," Jayn Sterland, Managing Director, Weleda UK & Ireland, says. "The restrictions have helped us slow down and look towards the outside world for reassurance, reconnecting us with nature."
