With face masks becoming mandatory on public transport from 15 June, it's important to make sure you're prepared.

Aldi is giving us a helping hand by launching Ladies and Mens’ Reusable Fabric Face Masks (£4.99 for a pack of two) to its Specialbuys range for this weekend.

Simple and functional, they may not win prizes for fashion but if you're simply looking for an affordable, minimal-style mask, they're ideal. The face coverings are made from machine-washable (up to 95 degrees) cotton and are available in store from Sunday 14 June.

For anyone looking for peace of mind without spending a fortune, the Aldi two-pack face coverings are perfect. At £4.99, they are certainly cheaper than many retailers, with prices starting from £3 each on Amazon.

The face masks, which come in one size, are double layered, ideal for covering both mouth and nose. The elastic lace makes them easy to attach behind the ears, and the cotton fabric ensures a soft and comfortable wear, so you can cover your face time and time again.

Need more than two? From this week, Aldi will also be selling a 10 pack of disposable face coverings for £5.79 – in all stores from Thursday.

Do remember that these are general-use face coverings as opposed to a medical device or personal protective equipment; it's not intended for use in healthcare settings.
