This year, we’re celebrating every festivity that comes our way. Valentine’s Day, Pancake Day, Easter — we want in. We think it’s important, especially during these tough times, and it’s surprising just how much joy a foil-wrapped chocolate egg can bring.
So, to ensure the Easter bunny only delivers the tastiest treats, we’ve conducted our annual taste test, asking brands and grocers to submit their very best Easter egg for 2021. We were inundated with show-stopping designs — from those dusted in gold to decorated in spring flowers to studded with cacao nibs.
No stone was left unturned, as we tried all components, assessing additional truffles, chocolate bars and ganaches. From budget-friendly buys that are perfect for kids, through to ultra-decadent adult-only eggs, we’ve found the tastiest treats, made from blond, milk and dark chocolate.
We were also very impressed with the range of vegan and free-from eggs this year, which used innovative ingredients such as oat milk to get a creamy consistency that everyone will love.
