Residents Evacuated Following Fire Near London Bridge Station

Ten fire engines were attending a blaze under the railway arches in Union Street, in Southwark, London, on Wednesday, August 17, London Fire Brigade said.

Footage recorded by Lauren Chopin shows dark smoke filling the sky near the Shard and London Bridge train station.

London Fire Brigade said the force was called to the fire at 9:29 am on Wednesday. Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters remained in attendance at around 10 am,

Trains at London Bridge station were affected and nearby buildings have been evacuated, the Brigade added.
