The Repair Shop experts Steve and Suzie unrecognisable in cute brother and sister throwback snap
The Repair Shop experts Steve and Suzie Fletcher looked unrecognisable in a cute brother and sister throwback snap that aired on This Morning.
Miracle leather worker Suzie and her clockwork extraordinaire brother Steve appeared on the ITV show alongside hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond to discuss the return of their popular BBC show.
The subject quickly turned to their close sibling bond with an adorable black and white picture of Steve holding his little sister Suzie when she was a baby popping up on the screen.
Alison said: "We’ve got a lovely picture of you actually growing up. Here it is...you as a baby Suzie," before the picture of the famous pair looking unrecognisable appeared.
Dermot then joked: "You don’t look overly happy with that squeeze you’re giving her there, Steve."
Steve then laughed before turning to his sister and saying: "Is that a true smile?" before all four of them erupted in laughter on the sofas.
Earlier, Alison and Dermot had also quizzed the restoration stars on what inspired them in their childhood to develop a passion for upcycling and make it their jobs.
Alison said: "It must be an absolute pleasure working alongside one of your siblings. Well, your lovely sibling Susan," to which Steve lovingly said: "I am very proud."
Dermot then asked horologist Steve and his sister, who is a master saddle maker: "So what's your family story? Does it come from your mother and father, your interest in restoration and horology?"
Steve said: "My grandfather was a clock and watchmaker, my father was a watchmaker.
"And I was never going to do it. But you get to an age of 16 and when you don't know what to do, I thought I thought well, I might as well go into the family business and I’ve been doing it ever since."
Suzie also shared her own personal story, telling the hosts: "Well, I mean, Mum was particularly artistic and she was able to design and make anything and then with Dad's practicalities.
"I grew up with this massive love of horses and very quickly found that there was this wonderful material called leather and you could do so much with it.
"I made my first saddle for my Sindy horse and then found out you can actually go into a career making saddles.'"
The latest season of The Repair Shop continues on BBC One, on Wednesdays at 8pm, with episodes also available on BBC iPlayer
