From Harper's BAZAAR

London Fashion Week designer Rejina Pyo is championing some of her past designs by launching a capsule collection on Vestiaire Collective made up of 50 "future collectables" from her archive. The collection – which launched today – sees some of her most memorable pieces back up for grabs on the designer resale site, where she hopes she will inspire customers to build an archive of their own and introduce a wider audience to the idea of collecting fashion.

The pieces in the collection are instantly recognisable for anyone familiar with the London Fashion Week designer or the British street-style aesthetic. Pieces include pairs of Pyo's signature sculptural heels, her balloon sleeved-dresses and several of the brand's key handbags, which have been seen on the arm of plenty of fashion's most stylish women.

"I truly believe in luxury resale and luxury restoration," Pyo tells us. "I have always struggled with how polluting the fashion industry is, so this is a step in the right direction. Vestiaire Collective is a platform I use personally so we are very excited to partner with them on this. It is so important that our customers have the option to resell the pieces to someone else who may love them, so they do not end up as waste."

Pyo explains that her mission behind every collection is to embrace long-term style, which is why she is so eager to draw attention to some of her past-season pieces, all of which feel just as relevant today as when they were first designed.

"I design every piece with longevity and versatility in mind – I never design for trends, we want our customers to wear and love their Rejina Pyo pieces for a very long time. Each collection we do is informed by the one before and informs the next, it's a continuous story as the brand evolves over time, not just isolated concepts. We encourage our customers to mix different seasons together, I still wear my favourite pieces from older seasons all the time and I am always finding new ways to style my classic pieces. I think if you really love something, it will never feel dated as long as you feel confident and happy wearing it."

Pyo adds that this attitude towards aesthetic is something which every shopper should have in mind if they are looking for real investment pieces.

"Take your time to consider if you really love something, and consider how it will fit into your daily life – is the piece versatile enough to be able to wear often in many different ways? Invest in quality and wearability over hype or trend items that only make sense at that time. One of the things I love about this partnership with Vestiaire is it gives the opportunity to our customers to purchase something they might have loved and missed out on the first time. If you are still thinking about that piece, it might be worth finally investing in it."
