Since it landed on Netflix a mere few weeks ago Bridgerton has pretty much been our sole focus. From analysing the hidden meanings within the ornate costumes, to streaming the soundtrack on repeat, we've been really quite busy pursuing careers as full-time Bridgerton stans. Well, today's huge news is that René-Jean Page, who plays Simon Basset, The Duke of Hastings (as if you didn't know) has addressed the rumour that he is dating his Bridgerton co-star Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne Bridgerton).
In a joint interview with Access Hollywood Page and Dynevor spoke about their on-screen chemistry, with Page being pretty coy about the whole thing.
The pair, who appeared via video, were asked about the speculation surrounding their relationship, and "who's dating who - on and maybe off screen?"
Page responded, "I think that everything you need to know is on camera, and all the sparks that flew come off the beautiful script that we were handed," adding, "so I think that the sparky-words scripts and material are more than enough."
Host Kit Hoover then jokes that the pair are actually together, and staged the split-screen, to which Page responds, "We're playing footsie under here, it's great."
