Isn't it wild to think that this time last year, the name Regé-Jean Page wouldn't mean all that much to the majority of us – and now it's one that runs through our brains (alongside sexy spoon-licking imagery) on the daily? Funny how life works out, eh. Anyway! Exciting news for any fellow Regé-Jean fans out there: the Bridgerton star has signed onto a major new film project that's underway, which will see him appear opposite an equally stellar cast, featuring Chris Pine, Justice Smith and Michelle Rodriguez.

Sadly, the news that Regé-Jean is also in the running for the role of James Bond is still no more than a flattering rumour – but we can confirm, as reported by the Radio Times, Regé-Jean has bagged himself a role in the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons film. While there is a TV series of the same name, the film is set to be a standalone, albeit one also based on the globally popular fantasy-inspired board game, Dungeons & Dragons. Exciting stuff – right? And *quite* the departure from Bridgerton's prim and proper ballrooms (think swords, dragons, etc).

While details are still pretty scarce at this early stage, we do know the movie is set to be released in America sometime in May 2022, meaning it'll likely come to the UK not long after. The IMDB page for Dungeons & Dragons also adds that the film was originally going to be developed by Warner Bros. Pictures, but that it was later moved to Paramount Pictures and Allspark Pictures.

This new project is far from the only thing keeping Regé-Jean busy at the moment either – he recently posted on Instagram that he's set to host popular US sketch show, Saturday Night Live, on 20 February (an honour previously held by the likes of Adele and Drake). He'll be joined by Bad Bunny, who'll be taking a turn as the musical guest.

Then there's also the small matter of a second series of Bridgerton to attend to. Ohhh yes, if you've not heard that delicious slice of news, back on 21 January 21st, Netflix finally confirmed that the cast will be reprising their roles for another season (and will be joined by some other recognisable faces, such as Sex Education's Simone Ashley).
