We can't believe it's been 20 years since Legally Blonde premiered. Where has the time gone? We were alerted to the milestone anniversary by none other than Elle Woods herself, aka Reese Witherspoon, who posted rare and delightful behind the scene shots of the cast working on the movie. It looks like they had so much fun!

The superstar actress, director and producer captioned the photos with a reference to Elle's Harvard application video, writing:"Omigod you guys ….Legally Blonde premiered 20 years ago TODAY! Time flies when you're busy using legal jargon in your every day life. 😆"

We can't get over baby Reese in those roller skates in the last shot!

Witherspoon thanked MGM studios for the mix of rare and never before shared snaps, showing the cast making the film all those years ago, and it's so nostalgic to see. They all look so young!

A cult film and arguably Reese's most iconic role, the movie mogul continued in the caption: "But truly... playing Elle Woods was the role of a life time and I'm so honored to have been a part of sharing her story with you all. Every meme, graduation cap, musical number, halloween costume and bend & snap has brought me so much JOY over these past two decades! 💕 I wonder... what will Elle do next?"

Co-star Selma Blair also treated us to some behind the scenes snaps of her time on the set, and spoke of Reese's serious work ethic.

The actress captioned the shots: "This was a time before cameras on phones. I walked around with a tiny vintage camera but never remembered to take many. I was too busy hanging out with Matt Davis talking in my trailer, or watching Reese work. I made lifetime friends. Fell on my face impersonating Billy Elliot. Right after the group shot. Where I am standing on my toes. Trying to be taller. While Reese was inside… on set working. Making Elle Woods. 💘 I love you all."

What we wouldn't give to have been hanging out on the set with these amazing women.
